Accolades flood in for All Saints’ Academy Thurlestone

On Friday 13th December the Department for Education released a league table of Primary school performance showing the results of this year’s Key Stage 2 assessments (SATs).  This information is vital for parents to know how well their school is preparing their child for the next stage of their education. We’re incredibly proud that out of all the Primary Schools in Devon, Thurlestone had the 3rd highest results.  95% of pupils achieved the standards in Reading, Writing and Maths and 20% reaching the higher standard (greater depth). The national average is 65%!

As well as this accolade the school received their Ofsted report for the year on Friday, 20th December rating us as a “Good” provider of education.  The report stated: “Staff are united and committed to ensuring they provide the best possible deal for their pupils”.

In addition to this the Learning Academy Partnership is in the top ten Trusts in the country for second year in a row! (For pupil progress in Reading and Maths).

These results mean that pupils leave us with the skills and knowledge they need to do well at Secondary school and we are incredibly proud of each and every child. Every single member of staff is part of this achievement and we are proud that our Values at the LAP where we put children at the heart of all of our decisions and work so closely together is having such an impact!
