Our Christian Vision: Together we shine like stars reflected in the sea.

God is the source of the light and the light shines in and through us; it reflects back to God and the rest of the world.

All Saints’ Thurlestone C of E Academy aims to serve our community within a Christian vision, equipping our children with the skills and attributes to live life to the full.  Underpinned by our school vision: ‘Together we shine like stars reflected in the sea’.

Our school lives and breathes the Church of England’s vision of John 10:10, that every child will flourish and that they will achieve the very best they can, fulfilling their dreams and ambitions.  All Saints’ Thurlestone is a place where all children are valued as God’s children. The whole child matters to God and we encourage our children to reflect God’s glory and shine, not only intellectually but with their many other gifts too.

We believe that we are all created in the image of God and we should shine like lights to reflect God’s glory to the world. We believe that it is our privilege and duty to support and nurture our children, so they reflect God and shine brightly in the world to make it a better place.

Our Christian vision is underpinned by our school Christian values which are woven into our everyday learning and foster a respect for other people and their beliefs; extending a warm and wholehearted welcome to all through the mission of open doors and warm fires.

Our Church Community

We are proud of our connections with our local churches, All Saints’ Thurlestone and All Saints’ South Milton.

Father Daniel is our Church of England priest and he leads our weekly Thursday morning Collective Worship which happens here in school and at our church.  He loves to spend time in school meeting the children and seeing what happens in the classroom.

In addition to this, Father Daniel is the Chair of the Ethos Committee for the South Hams Hub.

"It is a great privilege to work in this school and to see the children grow and develop, nurtured by our school and church communities."
