Welcome to our information page for families looking for a Reception place for their little one!
We are delighted that you are looking to join the All Saints’ Thurlestone family and we would like to take this opportunity to warmly welcome you to the Learning Academy Partnership. We look forward to working in partnership with you to ensure that your child has the best possible start to their primary education.
We believe that choosing your child’s first school is a hugely important decision, setting them on the path of a wonderful learning journey and onto future success. At All Saints’ Thurlestone, we do everything we can to ensure our families are fully informed about the journey ahead; the curriculum that will be taught, the approach to teaching in the Foundation Stage, as well as the practical arrangements of starting school.
We love to welcome new families into our academy to look around our Reception class, the rest of the academy, meet our team and learn more about our unique offer here at All Saints’ Thurlestone. If you would like to book a tour with Mrs Willow (Reception Teacher) or Miss Coombe (Head of Academy) please get in touch! We love to share everything our wonderful school has to offer!
Please also visit other pages on our website, our Twitter page @ASTLAP or our new Facebook page to find out more about our fabulous academy; we work extremely hard to keep everything up to date, sharing all of the fabulous learning that takes place each term here in Yarmer and across the academy.
Remember, if you have any questions or queries, no matter how small they may seem, please feel free to contact the academy office and ask to speak to Mrs Willow (Reception Teacher) or Miss Coombe (Head of Academy) and they will be able to help.
Please take a look at these handy presentations which will give you an insight into our EYFS curriculum and life as a Reception child in Yarmer Class.
Here a few handy leaflets full of advice and tips to support your little one before they start school next September.

Remember, if you do not have copies of the books, then it is really easy to find ‘read alouds’ on YouTube.
